Soot-Free Low-Carbon City Fleets

On-going
01 Apr 2018 to 31 Dec 2023

Description

The transformation of the transport sector is essential for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and improving human health. While current procurement plans for conventional diesel fleets can undermine efforts made towards improving air quality and taking action on climate, public vehicle fleets are highly suited to conversion and investments in clean technologies due to their high level of day-to-day visibility. The project is therefore supporting partner countries in converting their urban bus fleets and other public vehicle fleets in five major cities to soot-free, low-carbon technologies. The project is achieving this by working closely with local stakeholders.
