Rajasthan's Udaipur and Madhya Pradesh's Indore have become India's first two cities to receive international accreditation as ‘Wetland Cities' under Ramsar Convention. Both the resolution and the Wetland City designations align closely with the IKI Interface project’s focus on adaptation co-benefits, resilience-building, and policy integration. They also provide momentum for embedding wetlands into India’s climate and biodiversity strategies.
